Ingredients

Combine flour, cold, cubed butter, and salt in a food processor.

Step 1

Pulse about 10x, until the butter is.

Step 2

Pulse another 15-20x, just until the dough holds together.

Step 3

Turn out onto a sheet of plastic wrap.

Step 4

Wrap tightly, forming into a disc, then refrigerate.

Step 5

I’ve tested this pastry recipe more times than I can count, and it’s foolproof.

Step 6

Be sure to press the dough into the edges of the mold to get a show-stopping crimp.

Step 7

Use the tines of a fork to poke holes all over the bottom.
