Ingredients

To make homemade frangipane beat together almond flour, sugar, and salt.

Step 1

Next, add in an egg and some almond and vanilla extracts.

Step 2

Continue mixing until the frangipane looks light and fluffy.

Step 3

Spread a little out onto one of the rolled out sheets of puff pastry.

Step 4

Place the second sheet on top, then brush with egg wash.

Step 5

Spread the remaining frangipane into an even layer on top.

Step 6

Sprinkle with sliced almonds, then bake for about 30 minutes.

Step 7

It’s ready when the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed up.

Step 8

Be sure to dust with powdered sugar!
