Charoset is an essential component of Passover, and one of the main items found on a Seder plate. It's a sweet combination of crisp apples, crunchy toasted walnuts, lemon, a bit of cinnamon, red wine, and if you're feeling like it, raisins or other dried fruit. Charoset is best enjoyed over matzo, either on its own or with horseradish or chopped liver. Light, sweet, and crunchy!

I like to stir in raisins, but any dried fruit will work!
